Default Training when sick?

Now I know the key to seeing results is consistency. Now what would you do if you were sick? - when I say sick I mean something like a cold - would you continue training? or would you stay off training untill you are better?

If you train when you are sick you will prolong your sickness. I suggest taking a few days off and let yourself get better, then hop back into your program in full physical condition.

It is best not to train when you are sick. Stay at home - make sure you are getting all the vitimins and minerals you need to boost your immune system, this way you will get over your illness quicker. By training when you are ill you wont be giving it 100% anyway - so the benefits of training are minumal.

I'd take a few days break, and then when I feel better I'd work harder to regain the lost workout time and after a few days again I'd go back to normal workouts.

I would just have a break from training while I was ill then pick it up again when feeling better - I think putting any extra pressure on yourself by training harder straight away might actually do more damage than good.

Working out when you're sick damages your body no matter how you look at it, the best thing to do is sleep and eat healthy when you're sick.

I'd train if I were sick. If anything, this'll help you get healthier. Stay active, stay strong. If you let it take advantage of you and bed-rid you, you're done. Eat right, eat healthy, and get good rest.

Now granted, this isn't for the "viruses" or the more serious sickness. Just the minor ones like sore throats, colds, etc.

You shouldn't train TOO hard when you're sick, but you should stay active. It'll keep the heart pumping more, and end up pumping a lot more blood into your body and allow the circulation to continue, and hopefully, get rid of all the unhealthy stuff that makes ya sick.

I agree with Bishop. A little bit of activity will do you a wonder.
You really do need to make sure you don't overdue it though.

Fluids, Healthy Food, Good Rest and Light Activity will get you back on track in no time.

Sometimes running when you have a cold can help sweat out the virus. Raising the body heat makes your body inhospitable to the virus.
