It is very important to work (and iscolate) ALL the different muscles in your biceps and triceps. There are many different lifts for the different parts which most people don't know.

Would you care to share these different lifts? Just to see whos hitting the correct spots? I also use the technique sparky mentioned - keeping your one arm in a state of contraction really works you.

Well you only have 3-4 important muscles in your arms. The problem is when you over work your biceps and leave your triceps weak.

I think its important to use supersets when working on your arms. For every muscle you work make sure you work the opposite muscle just as hard. This way you wont have any imbalances in your muscles.

I tend to do curls followed by pushups, seems to work perfectly fine for me.

As long as you balance the strength between antagonistic muslces to make sure you prevent injuries as much as possible, life is good.
