Default Help gaining weight/Building muscle

Hey guys,

I'm 15 almost 16, and I'm a smaller kid. I'm 5'7" 120lb. and I'm trying to bulk up. I don't want to affect my growth by lifting too much or incorrectly, so I want to make sure I do this right.

I bought the triple threat bars for protein, and I usually have one a day. I've been eating a lot of meat and trying to stay away from anything unhealthy (McDonalds and such). I do a lot of running, pushups, situps, and I just got a pullup bar so I've been trying to use that. I also do curls and lift in small moderations.

I'm about 7% body fat on my torso, 7% on my triceps, and 6% on my back (got tested for wrestling, but I didn't follow through because of my problem with gaining/losing weight quickly). For sports, and MMA I want to know how I can get bigger. It'd also be nice to fill out my T-shirts better. I'm not all skin and bones, I do have some muscle, and I'm very fast and agile. I want to see raw strength, and I've had trouble getting bigger for a long time.

Sorry for making a big write-up, and I'm sure you see a lot of these threads. I just want to know specific workout techniques and what I should and should not be eating. I have a lot of time after school, and I'm dedicated so I'll stick to what ever you guys tell me. I'm too young and small to start fighting, but I want to make sure I'm in good shape for when I do.

Thanks.

At your age your size is greatly determined by your genetics. If you want to increase overall mass the only way to do so is by upping your caloric intake. If you do alot of running and cardio type exercises you need to take in alot more than you are burning. Getting some High Calorie protien shakes with high protien levels would be best. I drink 2 shakes a day normally for a total of at a very minimum 3500 total calories. Your diet determines your size is what it boils down to. Eat lots of protien and carbs.
