Matt vs. Royce
I see alot of mixed thoughts on this upcoming fight, for me i think Matt will walk out with a victory on this one, for a few reasons.
First Royce hasnt faced too much top competition in the recent years, where as Matt has been facing alot, keeping his game up to date, and evolving, now dont get me wrong i think Royce's game has probably evolved alot too, but not to the state thats matt is at.
second Royce's game has been exposed, back in the day when everyone was like "wtf did that guy just tap" it was relatively unkown, there was a certain sneakiness and Royce's opponents were like fish outta water when it came to the ground game, now everyone is training in all areas, and matt's game is the ground game as well.
Third i think that Royce's age wont be too much of a factor, but i do think it is a factor...keeping up with a champ, when you been outta the competition for a while is gonna be hard.
Lastly, i just think Matt is a great wrestler, who controls his opponents alot, and will be looking to pass the guard, on points UFC favors wrestlers, whether you agree or not, they do, and this will be in Matt's favor when it comes to takedowns and control...i would like to hear others opinions.

I honestly feel that Dana is just feeding RG to Matt. Make Matt even more popular.
Cause, the more I think about it, the more certain I am that Matt will dominate RG in this fight. He's just so good, and will definitely be more prepared for the fight than RG.
Sadly though, I think it'll go to decision cause RG is tough as nails, and very sneaky.
How many fights does RG have in this contract? 3? Enough to lose to matt, fight Ken (result doesn't really matter), and then maybe give him to another fighter.
There's always a chance RG wins of course, he's a great great fighter, but it's a slim chance. I think his best chance to win, is if Matt is 100 percent against this fight going to decision. Perhaps Matt will overextend himself, leaving himself open for RG to do his thing.

In all honesty, I believe that Matt will take this one by a long shot. As much as I want to root for Royce, and as much as I want him to win, I think he's out of his league here. Matt is fresh, up-to-date, and prepared.
Royce will have a lot of keeping up to do. I think he'll be rusty, and against the reigning champion, its going to be a tough spot to pick.

I think Royce will take this one. He's going into it as an underdog, but I think that Royce has just as much experience as Matt does, and will undoubtedly take this fight in the end.
When it comes down to who's got more skills, I honestly think that Royce does. Matt is the current Champ - yay, so what. But I think that Royce is a more skilled fighter, and is a veteran. He knows the ins and outs of everything, and has probably studied Matt's style.
I think Royce in the 2nd by TKO.

Matt is Danas golden boy, he is feeding him royce because it will draw in an interesting demographic, and it wil keep Matty boy at the top a little longer. i know it's not a title fight, but still you get the idea. Unfortunately for dana I don't think matt will be champion much longer...

Also, i think some people are unaware of Matt's depth. the armbar he sunk in on GSP is high high high level jui jitsu. royce has his famous guardwork, but you have to realize he dominated when people didn't know what the hell was going on, it;s different now. I will be stunned if he taps him out, and royce is certainly not gonna knock him out....honestly

I'm gonna let Matt take this one. His experience is far superior. Age, etc. doesn't really matter here, as it isn't to significant.
I think Matt will have his hands full, and it'll be close as any fight I've ever seen, but I think in the end, Matt will be the last one standing.

I think Royce will take this. Royce is fresh, and looking for something to put his name out there. He's got a reputation to stand by. He's going to be fighting his heart out, and I think Royce will take this one in the end.

Bryan, they both have a reputation that they need to defend, thats why the fight is getting so much hype. I think this'll be a close one, but when you compare the two, Matt has a lot more experience and knows every trick in the book. Royce should be learning from Matt, not beating him.
