Default Bonnar out Boetsch in against Hamill

Stephan Bonnar was suposed to fight Matt Hamill at UFN in APril. But bonnar is injured and he is being replaced by Tim Boetsch. Boetsch destroyed david Heath in his UFC debut but will face a much bigger challange in Matt Hamill. if Boetsch wins this fight in KO fashion people will give him the hype that Houston Alexander had.

I'd like to see Tim win, he looked real good last UFC, but I forsee him spending alot of time on his back trying to avoid elbows and some premiere lay and pray from Hamill

Im really disapointed we don't get to see Bonnar fight, i love watching him fight, and i was really looking forward to see him fight Hammil, but also get back in the mix with the top LHW's. I guess Boetsch is a decent opponent to step and watch the fight.

But who would rather the UFC throw this fight off the main telivised card and now show Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard, i fought that should be without a doubt on the telivised card seeing how it has a lot of LW contendership behind it.

There's now 10 fights on this card.. here's hoping Spike is gonna show 3 hours and we see 5-6 fights
I can't imagine them only showing 4 fights outta ten, but then again maybe they're trying to increase traffic to their UFC on demand.. which would suck

Main Card Bouts:
-Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon
-Karo Parisyan (#6 Welterweight in the World)* vs. Thiago Alves
-Matt Hamill vs. Tim Boetsch
-Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin

Preliminary Bouts:
-Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard
-Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher
-Din Thomas vs. Josh Neer
-Clay Guida vs. Samy Schiavo
-Tommy Speer vs. Anthony Johnson
-George Sotiropoulos vs. Roman Mitichyan

Good card, but I wish they would dump the Karo fight to the prelims and show Edgar vs. Maynard instead.

Has anyone heard anything about the UFC trying to add more fights to the televised card or extend the even time on television? Just a rumor i heard and I was wondering if anyone had heard any related information?

UFC Fight Night 13 Will Be a Three-Hour Broadcast

UFC Fight Night 13 will be a three-hour broadcast on Spike TV, after all.

The UFC has made no official announcement, and Spike TV could not confirm the news, but a source close to the event exclusively told MMAjunkie.com (UFC News & Rumors - MMA News - UFC Fighters - UFC Event Recaps and Previews - MMAjunkie.com) that April 2’s UFC Fight Night 13 event will, in fact, run three hours.

The event takes place at the Broomfield Event Center near Denver, Colo., and features what is perhaps the most talent-rich fight card in Spike TV history. Kenny Florian and Joe Lauzon meet in the night’s main event, while fan favorites such as Clay Guida, Matt Hamill, Karo Parisyan, Frankie Edgar and Houston Alexander fill out the undercard.

The MMA fanbase recently kicked off a letter-writing campaign to Spike TV executives asking that the broadcast run three hours rather than the usual two. UFC President Dana White recently stated that the decision was Spike TV’s — and Spike TV’s alone — to make, which prompted a campaign fueled by MMA blogs and message boards.

UFC Fight Night 13 will serve as a lead-in for “The Ultimate Fighter 7,” the latest installment of the UFC and Spike TV’s hit reality series. The seventh season of the show, which will feature 32 UFC middleweight hopefuls, includes UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson and the original winner of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Forrest Griffin, as coaches.

Spike TV will likely announced news of the three-hour broadcast, as well as an updated televised card, this week, we’re told. With the late switch of Tim Boetsch for Stephan Bonnar, and the inclusion of additional televised bouts, the official card released by the UFC last week is expected to change.

The latest card, in no particular order (aside from the main event), now includes:

Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon
Thiago Alves vs. Karo Parisyan
Tim Boetsch vs. Matt Hamill
Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin
Nate Diaz vs. Kurt Pellegrino*
Frank Edgar vs. Gray Maynard
Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher
Josh Neer vs. Din Thomas
Clay Guida vs. Samy Schiavo
Roman Mitichyan vs. George Sotiropoulos
Anthony Johnson vs. Tommy Speer

With a card as great as that the 3 hour slot is perfect.

I'm really looking forward to this.

To seem it is just so rediculous that they add the Nate Diaz vs. Pelligrino fight but still keep off the Frankie Edgar vs. Maynard, rediculous...
