It's a stacked card but there aren't to many good matchups.

With the exception of the main event there isn't really to many match ups that are top contender fights or exciting fights. I may be wrong but on paper alot of these fights are mismatches to get fighters like Kos, Diego, and Arlovski back to there winning ways.

Silva vs Henderson is probably the best fight that can be put together right now, I'm super jazzed for it. I'm also interested to see how Tanner fares against Okami. I would tend to think that Okami would pound him good, but its hard to say where Tanner is at at this point after such a long absense.

I also think that Kongo vs Herring could be interesting. Arlovski's fight, Koscheck's fight and Fitch's fight should be gimme's. Diego's opponent I've never even heard of. So in my opinion its a decent/good card and I'll end up buying it.

I have wanted to see Anderson Silva fight Dan Henderson since before pride had a Welterweight division (183 lbs in japan). Dan Henderson is amazing and always puts on a good fight and Anderson has been doing incredibly well in the UFC. Should be a good fight.

WHat really excites me though is the return of Evan Tanner. He is a great fighter who has potential to be champ.

Also what i read on evantanner.net is that Evan has start his own sponsorship type thing. So instead of being sponsored by xyience, and sprawl, and sinister or whatever else, Evan will be sponsored by his fans. THe more money you contribute then the more stuff you get, and if you donate alot then you can even get tickets to be Evans special guest to sit ringside at a UFC event. He is even going to bring one person to sit in his corner as cutman type thing for every fight.

If you goto his website Evan seems like a cool guy, and i hope he does well.

Haha I already checked out all the prices awhile ago on his site. Pretty sweet gimick. Now he may just be doing this cuz the big names wont put out for him yet but its a good idea none the less.

I am looking forward to UFC 82, but some of the matchups don't look that great. Mostly I'll be watching for the Silva Henderson fight (as most people will).

Im also excited to see Evan Tanner return to the octagon but people have to see that this is a terrible match for his comeback. He hasn't fought in almost 2 years, and now he's stepping in with a bigger better fighter in Yushin Okami? Okami will most likely keep him on his back for the entire fight and stuff most takedowns Tanner has to offer. And we all know that Okami is more than capable of going the distance, but is Evan Tanner after all this lay off, i think he's going to have to pull something isane out of him to win this fight.
