Default Rashad vs. Bisping Headline UFC 78

UFC® : Ultimate Fighting Championship®

It's official Rashad Evans vs. Michael Bisping headlining UFC 78.

This may not sound like the best Possible Match up at this time but it really is. They are both coming off contraversial fights, there both undefeated and they both have something to prove. As much as people think Houston deserves to be in the mix he doesn't, hes a gatekeeper for the time being and should fight up and coming fighters.

Even though Bisping doesn't "deserve" this fight, it is what it is so were gonna have to make the best of this fight.

I dont know what to really think of this fight right now, it kind of just came out of left field so ill just wait for some feedback.

But if a had to predict i would think it would go alot like Bispings fight with Hammil except Rashad being more dominant for a unanimous decision...thoughts?

In a light heavyweight contest, two of the most aggressive strikers in the game today will collide when Houston “The Assassin” Alexander (8-1) faces Thiago Silva (11-0).

Great fight up just like i said above, this gives closure to the whole Houston Alexander ordeal. They also announce in an article at ufc.com that Fisher vs. Edgar will take place and Ed Herman vs. Terell so there all official!

Should be a good fight.

Hope Bisping can be victorious once again.

I gotta say I'm rooting for Bisping in this fight. I was so put off by Bisping in his last fight, but I was even more put off by Rashad Evans in the post fight interview where he was talking to tito and the media like he had just won the fight. If tito hadn't grabbed that fence Rashad would have lost the fight, he should have been thanking Tito for constantly grabbing the fence so he could remain undefeated.

I think both guys need a reality check... Maybe a double high kick KO? that'd be good. lol

what happened to tito vs rashad 2.

well its not the best fight card but looks exciting. fisher always exciting to watch,
houston wants prove that he can be a contender for the title so i see him going out there with a headhunter mind set. maybe rashad has learned from his last fight and be more aggressive.

i for one hope bisping loses by brutal KO. the guy needs a reality check, after his bad mouthing in his last fight he now pretty much being rewarded by fighting evans? sooo stupid imo lambert who impressively beat babalu in his last show should and was originaly scheduled to fight a while ago should fight thiago silva. they are both pretty unknown for the most part. also why would you put a fighter like houston against thiago silva. houston beat jardine, so "marketting wise" how could they see this fight benefitting them if silva wins? its just stupid. i would have much rather seen houston vs evans. bisping really doesnt deserve a fight this imo goes down as the weakest main event this year... anyway now that we have announced fights houston/silva should be good. also hopefully after this fight we wont see much of bisping or evans for a while. maybe a fight between hendo n ortiz is now possible though

I wouldn't assume that Rashad's takedowns are better than Hammill's, his striking probably yeah but deffinately not his takedowns.

I think if Tito didn't grab onto the fence Rashad would of won hands down, in the middle of the second round Rashad had Tito over his shoulder and was about to deliver a huge slam before Tito held the fence where he had his point taken away. If Rashad landed that slam who knows what he would of done from in, that slam would of secured round 2 for him and he for sure won round 3.

I dont think rashad was talking to much shit he was just caught up in the moment, with all the hype surrounding the fight and all the bad blood he was just pissed that he trained for a draw.

Rashad's wrestling is more technical and will have bisping to the ground at will, and un like Hammil Rashad will keep Bisping on the ground, he has a pritty good jaw, good enough striking to stand with him, and just will have overall control of the ring.

Not to mention Hammill's size, he's much larger than Rashad.
