Sylvia-Vera is a pick 'em imo. Every1 says they hope Tim gets beat up, but he never does. It's not THAT easy to beat him up. Part of me says Vera will win because he might be comin back tougher than ever ready to make a mark in the UFC, but you can't completely rule Tim out.

Right now I'm leaning towards Tim by some crazy uppercut but I dunno, come fight time I may pick Vera, who knows...Vera is better at Muay Thai obviously, and it goes to the ground with Tim on top, I don't see Vera getting out easily. It'll most likely be a stand up war which Vera on paper should win, but you can't completely rule Tim out.

Yeah Sylvia has a good chin and is hard to knock out, but can be taken to the ground and Veras Submissions are on a different level then Tims. He also has the size to do work on the ground in which Monson didn't. We also haven't seen Veras chin tested yet, so if Tim Sylvia throws a hard enough punch it could put him down.

But i see Veras striking to be cleaner, has great reach, and his bjj is for sure better, i just see this as a fight where Vera has Sylvia beat in most positions.

ahhh I don't want Tim to win though. I want Vera to win because that will set up some more nice HW fights.

I really see Vera out working Tim. I know Tim comes from militech and they are some hard working ponies over there, but Sylvia is just a little too clumsy in my oppinion. I think Vera will really work the leg kicks, something that no ones really tried to do with Timmah yet for some reason. And all tim really has to offer anymore is a one two punch combo. I think Vera will be really too slick to get caught with that really. I think Tim has a chance in this fight for sure, but I do feel that vera will take the W that night in the second round by TKO.

Bleh, pretty much what I was going to say, how dare you read my mind. Get out!!!

But yeah I think MuayThai is right on with the leg kick theory. I think that was what Arlovski was going to do against Tim in the third fight, but alas, got injured. That'll be Vera's best bet IMO. Chop chop chop him down then knock him the flock out.

I just heard that one of the fighters from my school will be returning to the UFC at UFC 77. His name is Ryan Jensen he is apparently fighting Damien Nemen(?). Does anyone know anything about this Damien guy?

Never gave predictions so here they are.

Silva vs. Franklin

It seems that everyone is beggining to count Rich out due to his last performance against Silva and Andersons last IMPRESSIVE performance against Marquardt. I think were in for a better fight this time, Rich Franklin is probably more prepared then ever and will come out and throw everything hes got at him. It's so hard to against Anderson because he just improves after every fight. But this time around i think Rich will have an answer to most of the stuff that comes at him.
Call me crazy but

Rich 3rd round stoppage.

Vera vs. Sylvia

This fight now has alot of hype surrounding in with the winner receiving a title shot. Even though I'd like to count Tim out i can't. Hes going to be back and maybe he will now show desire to go out there and regain his belt instead of just "defending" it. Vera hasn't fought in something like 10 months so this could play a huge roll. I think Stand up wise they both match up pritty well but i see Vera just destroying his body with kick after kick and possibly taking this fight to the ground. Timmy has a good chin and pritty good power in his hands so he possibly catch Vera.

Vera Unanimous decision.

Belcher vs. Starnes

This match up is almost a stale mate, i think dont think they are going to knock eachother out on the feet and i don't think either will be able to submit the other. I just think Kalib will get the best of it.

Unanimous decision.

Bonnar vs. Shaffer

If Shaffer does take him down i will give him a chance of a quick submission, but Stephen is very good on the ground and probably wont be submitted. IMO this will go alot like the Bisping Shaffer fight and late in the first or early in the second round.

Bonner T(KO) 2 round.

that guy ryan jenson is pretty good dude. even though he lost against thales leites in his debut he looked very calm and confident coming in. he was pretty impressive starting out i just had a feeling leites would pull the win. i train with someone who knows him from rio and they say he has contendership potential. anyway i hope jensen smashes this guy cause he isnt even on sherdog lol
