Default UFC 83: Serra Vs St Pierre 2

A good suggestion from Way26. I've only just came across it. Pretty much a discussion thread. Also it seems Robert is busy with his life etc at the minute so i'm going to start doing the fight bookies on a regular basis.

Big card, the first UFC show in Canada. The arena has sold out and I think the attendance is around 21,000 which is pretty incredible. Glad to see Bisping moving down in weight.

Fight Card:

Matt Serra Vs. Georges St-Pierre
Travis Lutter Vs. Rich Franklin
Nate Quarry Vs Kalib Starnes
Mike Bisping Vs Charles McCarthy
Mark Bocek Vs. Mac Danzig
Joe Doerksen Vs. Jason MacDonald
Jason Day Vs. Alan Belcher
Ed Herman Vs. Demian Maia
Rich Clementi Vs. Sam Stout
Brad Morris Vs. Cain Velasquez
Kuniyoshi Hironaka Vs. Jonathan Goulet

Great main card, and the undercards look pretty interesting too!

I think GSP is going to swarm Serra big time and get the TKO in the first, yes the first round.

Travis Lutter's standup game isn't much to get excited about, and even though he's a good jiu-jitsu guy, his cardio isn't top notch either. I see Franklin working him over pretty bad, actually.

And..I'm hoping that Bisping smokes McCarthy fast enough that they play the Clementi/Stout fight at the end, which I think should be on the main card instead of Quarry vs Starnes. Ugh.

Anyway, lots more to talk about but will do it later.

PS - thanks for the nod, Jamie

Well dang, site has been down for like 2 weeks or so, but hey...how about that guy St. Pierre?

GSP looked great, and even though it went into the second round...it was a great win for St. Pierre. And man I bet Serra's ribs are killing him today.

Franklin looked good. Although I don't know how you don't look good when your opponent is basically a turd that can't breathe or hold his hands up. Lutter really needs to sort out his cardio, and maybe the WEC is the place to do that.

Bisping put on a good show, as did Danzig. I wish I could have seen the Herman/Maia fight, I guess Maia triangled Ed Herman unconcious

All in all good event, and I of course went ape shit when St. Pierre won, which made it all that much better.

Holy hell we're back aye? soooo i see that the crash didn't wipe out Jamie or Way's money, or transfer it into my bank. But i digress, the fights, amazing! GSP is unstoppable. I want him to fight Fitch, then Penn then Silva. Then he can own every dominant fighter in all the UFC, then he will go to Afganistan and blow up Bin Laden, then cure cancer.

I want GSP to fight Silva for the MW belt and then Rampage for the LHW belt...

I think he can do it!

I think GSP would give Silva some serious problems, I'd even give him a good shot at winning. But I don't think he could handle Rampage. The size difference alone would make it really tough for GSP to control the fight, and not only that but Rampage is a great wrestler, which is only going to make things worse.
