no it was rumored that he signed with k-1 heroes but he never did. he resigned a deal with the UFC and good for them. They need all the middle weights they can get.

This is yet another thing the UFC does that i wish they would stop. Having a 9 fight card or something and then only showing 4 of them on the PPV. That means you are paying $1o a fight, roughly. To me that is garbage. PrideFC would alsways show at least 6 to 8 fights on their PPV's, sometimes even more, and the fights that they dont show on the PPV are usually fights lilke, Choi Mu Bae vs. Yamamoto or something that people dont mind missing out on anyways, lol.

Maybe it's just me but i know im pissed off after ordering a UFC where i only got to see 4 fights and it costed me $40. Especially when you order the event and it says it starts at 7:00 and ends at 10:30. When really it starts at 7:00, you have about half an hour of Joe Rogan blabbing about how he thinks he knows everything and Mike Goldberg starring at him and nodding continuously like an idiot while occasionally looking at the camera to do the same thing.

After this the first fight comes along and before during and after it is constant plugs of the UFC's sponsors. 9:00 comes around and its the main event. yet you have only got to see 3 or 4 fights already. Anyways, its only 9:00 and the event is scheduled to 10:30 on the PPV.

That means that if the fight goes a full 5 rounds (if the main event is a title fight) the fight will last 25 minutes in total, plus 10 minutes of time between the rounds and another 10 or so of post fight interviews and what not. So by 9:45 at the latest you should be getting to see the pre recorded preliminary bouts, or at least as many as they can fit in.

So if it's 9:45 and the PPV is scheduled to 10:30 you still have 45 minutes of fights. That is enough time to fit in 2 more fights that went to a decision in a 3 round fight.

This is never the case though. Useually in a case like this you might get to see one of the prelims but if the main event is over at 9:45 chances are they are just gonna cut to Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan talking about what an amazing night of fights it was for 25 minutes.

If a PPV is scheduled for 3.5 hours and i only get to see 4 fights, and the show only last 2 ofthose 3.5 hours, that pisses me off. Especially when it costs me $40.

3.5 hours is 210 minutes. 210 divided by 15 (the amount of time a fight takes) = 14 fights. Obviously the PPV can not be just fights and nothing else, but even if you have 10 fights that is 150 minutes of fighting if all 10 fights go to decision. THat leaves an hour for pre fight stuff and sponsorship plugs and what not. Chances are though that at least 4 of those fights will end before decision.

If the UFC were to pull their heads out of there own loose assholes, which they won't - for reasons i dont entirely understand, then the fans would actually get their monies worth and then maybe people like me wouldnt get pissed off with the whole UFC brand name and be forced to watch UFC PPV's online for free. (if anyone wants a link to a good site where you can watch MMA fights online immediately following the event just private message me)

Dana White, you are a scurvy shyster bastard. You have no soul and i cant imagine you finding humour in anything, except perhaps a paraplegic MMA fan who wants to order a rival companies MMA show but can't quite reach the remote from his wheelchair to order it. You Swine.

Robert, im pretty sure the UFC for sure shows 5 fights every time they are out there and most of the cards it six. And if you haven't seen the last 2 cards, we got to watch 7 fights from UFC 81, and 8 fights at ufc 80, so they try to squeeze in as much as possible.

don't forget the Pride events were tape delayed in north america and they could edit the PPV to show more fights.

still even when they do squeeze in a few extra fights, there is a lot of dead time on their PPV's.
I won't complain about the Spike TV events as they are free, but you definitely get the feeling they're trying to get more ppl to buy the undercard fights on UFC.com

also the PPV's are scheduled for 3 hours not 3.5. Unless you are thinking of the preview 1/2 hour before the live event I'm not sure where you are getting 3.5 hours.
10-1 in the Eastern time zone is the schedule time.

I hate watchin UFC on spike... soooooo many commercials, even between rounds they get 1 in there, I like hearing the corners, makes me feel more engaged in the fight. Anyways, the last few pay per views have showed like 1 prelim fight after the main event, but the one was like a 30 second KO. But if you ever want to watch all the fights, go to this site, it's awesome. Ultimate MMA Video Blog
