Flippin through this interview with Sokoudjou and he says at the end that we'll see him in the cage at the end of the year...heres the quote:

Quote:
LC- Before I let you go are there any sponsors you want to mention, any websites or anything else to plug, and anything you want to say to your fans anxiously awaiting your return to the ring?

RS- I would like to thank Light Force for all the support. Also fans can reach me at { ::: OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE AFRICAN ASSASSIN ::: } or on myspace at MySpace.com - africanassassin.com - 23 - Male - Jungle, CM - www.myspace.com/african_assassin. And I'll be back not in the ring but in the cage DEC 29th in Vegas!

LC- [Laughs] I think I got you, at least I hope I do! I want to thank you very much for taking the time to talk to me here at HACNews.com and we wish you luck in the future and hope to see you back very soon, take care.

LoL...maybe I'll have to renounce my own post. This is from UFCMania.com:

Quote:
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou — who burst onto the scene with impressive wins over top light heavyweights such as Ricardo Arona and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira under the PRIDE FC banner — is not confirmed to fight Lyoto Machida at UFC 79: “Nemesis” on December 29.

The rumor mill has heated up since our earlier post in which we passed along remarks from the “African Assassin” intimating that he might make his Octagon debut on New Year’s Eve weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Not the case, according to Team Quest officials in Murrieta, Calif. However, the bout is “in the works.”

According to our reliable source, no bout agreements have been signed despite indications that both sides are very close to hammering out a deal. “These things fall through all the time,” he said.

It’s important to note that at press time Sokoudjou hasn’t even been signed to a UFC contract.

He has made a decision, however, to fight for the UFC. Other offers from EliteXC and K-1 were “flaky.” In addition, the Team Quest management team feels that his best long-term interests will be served fighting in the United States.

The UFC debut of the powerful 205-pound prospect seems as if it is only a matter of time. At the very least — even if he doesn’t fight Machida at UFC 79 — it looks like Sokoudjou is Octagon bound.

Finally.
But if nothing else it looks like he's hashing out a deal with the UFC, and that is good news to me.

Supposedly fighting Lyoto.

Should be a great fight, I'd personally like Lyoto to shut Sokoudjou up, but it's a big coup for the UFC if true.

I hope this really goes through, i bet him and the ufc are going through contract negotiations and they are about to be finalized.

He was truely a true talent having knocked out Nogueira and Arona, i mean the Nog fight might have been a fluke but he does show he has same crazy power in his hands.
He's also a judo expert and we haven't much of anything from that, he comes from a great camp and trains with some really good wreslters.

It would be very interesting to see who his opponent would be, i could guess but it seems that they are going to throw a curve ball. He may face top competition or he may be given an easy fight.

Either way i can't wait to see what hes really all about. And to see if he is the real deal.

Nice, so he is in the ufc his opponent is just yet to be named, a would very much like to see a fight with him and Lyoto. It would be a very good test.
