Default What is the best way to practice knee strikes?

I use a heavy bag for knees but, I think I found a great way to practice knees.....Use a haki sak and keep it in the air only usein ur knees.

any better ways to practice knees?

my trainer tought me to train knees with a teardrop bag. his is filled with sand! idk how the hell he uses that to strengthen his legs to and up kicks that.. his shins are always dry n cracked after

Best way to practice knee strikes...with another person. Alright seriously though it depends on the kind of strike. If you're throwing knees from a Thai clinch you should use Thai pads. You can also use a kicking shield for long knees and leeping knees. For knees thrown after a punch combo stick to the Thai pads. At any rate check to see what equipment is available and check with your trainer for proper ways to throw the strike in question. If you're alone you could use a heavy bag but I recomend getting Thai pads and a friend to practice with.

Training partner is best. Downward facing held pads let you vary the height and distance you need to cover... plus you can clinch. Dont forget to throw knees from various angles.
