Default Greatest Striker in the UFC? (past or present)

My pick is Pedro Rizzo. I personally don't think that there has ever been a better, more technical striker to fight in the UFC. His Muay Thai is top notch and if he would have just let it all go in the octagon he could have been the champ. IMO

Bas Rutten is my extremely close second choice. That guy in his prime could stand with anybody out there.

You know what's sad? As many UFC, Pride, and smaller venue shows I've seen, I've never seen a Bas fight!

I went with Rich Franklin.. I love his stand up.. extremely technical.. so clean and percise.. love it.

You should check out his MMA Career dvd. It has all of his Pancrase fights and highlights of his two UFC fights against Randleman and Kosaka.

I have only seen highlights of his Pancrase fights but his fights in the UFC impressed the hell out of me. The way he came back against TK was awesome and the way he kept fighting against Randleman after getting his nose broken so early in the fight made me have more respect for that guy than most fighters out there.

I really hope he blasts Kimo into next week.

Pedro. What has happened to him over the years? I thought he was going to be one of the top guy's for a long time after his victories over TK, Coleman and Abbott but then he seemed to go down hill.

everyone who has replied all have good points but don't you remember Vitor Belfourt v Wanderlei Silva and Phil Baroni v Dave Menne. Bas Rutten was superb but just out of sheer fun Robbie Lawler is great to watch, that boy just swings for fun.

I went with Pedro because I feel that he has the best all around striking and is one of the most if not the most technical striker out there.

Baroni and Lawler are both very entertaining strikers with serious power in their fists but they are not the best all around strikers IMO.

Plus having a ten option poll limit forced me to exclude some fighters that I would have liked to add but just didn't see them up there with the guy's that I put on the list.

PS, in case any of you are confused, The Termifedor is my old screen name.
