One thing you have to remember though is that Sambo comes first for Fedor, that's his sport. MMA is his second sport, Sambo is the mans passion. In Russia he is a Sambo practitioner before he is an MMA fighter. The situation is kind of like put two sports you have a passion for together, mine is Football (Soccer) and MMA, I would choose a career in football way before I would pick one in MMA, and Fedor is probably the same way with his Sambo.
Please just stop the fucking hate though (Not just aimed at you my friend, but a lot of MMA community's), it's getting annoying. Let the guy fight who he wants, let him fall off his #1 ranking. I don't care and i'm sure he does not, he is THE single most talented fighter to have ever stepped foot into any MMA ring. Am I a little dissapointed that he chose M-1 over the UFC. Yes I am. Will I continue watching him fight whoever, yes I will.
Remember he has an open contract, the M-1 pay him and he fights for there org and can also fight outside of it, so we may still see him fight the likes of Sergei Kharitonov and Josh Barnett, possibly even Couture. So still 3 huge fights for him possibly on the horizon.
