Thats not true, M-1 is going to try to promote in America as much as possible, and as long as fedors on the card i will make an attempt to order it.

Cool

heres the problem no regular americans fans know the good pride fighters unless they have been signed to the ufc.i bet if u go up to a regular fan (at the moment there are more regular then hardcore fans) and ask them who fedor is they will say i dont know and that spells no money.

Sadly, this is true. However i guarantee you that every MMA fan knows who Randy Couture is, even some who are not MMA fans know who he is.

Whether or not this will be significant enough to help promote the organization in America would be just speculation. That being said though, Randy is probably the most popular fighter in MMA in america right now, so if any fighter will help build fans in AMerica it would be him.

IMO, Randy wants to fight Fedor and then retire from the sport of MMA, and why not? The man has accomplished more than any other to ever step into the octagon.

M-1 will probably be very big in Russia, Europe, and Asia and not as popular in the America's. Fedor is a huge huge name in MMA and everyone wants to fight him. Everyone wants to be the guy to give him his first loss.

Any organization to sign Fedor will be able to sign other big name HW's strictly because they have Fedor.

im kind of torn on this subject, one i understand why randy resigned from his contract and admire it really. still as a fan i would have loved to see him fight until his contract was over. win or lose it would have been a fans dream come true to see him take on vera, arlovski, big nog.. im just gonna miss him now you know. he did it kind of silently i mean really nobody knows except for people who follow it using the internet. anyway that being said and out of the way i agree with you RL i think randy will want to fight again, and when he does he will probably go out to seek a promoter/org. whatever really to get a fight between him and fedor going... that might sound crazy but its possible. he has come out of retirement more than once and has mentioned recently he is not retired from fighting just resigned a contract.. speaking of M-1 i believe if mark cuban if the man behind M-1's new face in signing the best HW out and seaking to sign more by the day, we could very well see M-1 in america. i have a feeling mark cuban who many think of asa joke has potential to make a lot of changes in mma starting with M-1, and his negotiations with ed fishman. i have watched his show a couple times and i got to admit its much better than UFC unleashed, UFC all access, and UFC wired. i hope randy finds it inhim to find a fight with fedor.

Fedor signed with M-1 because he wanted to compete in Sambo? Didn't Dana say he would sign Fedor AFTER this year's Sambo tourny since Fedor wanted in so bad? I heard that this M-1 contract is a FIVE fight deal......I just don't understand.

I mean, yeah you can blame Dana for not wanting to risk a huge investment in Fedor(who is injury prone) by not allowing him to compete in Sambo, but Fedor could've missed ONE tournament and give us Couture-Fedor in the octagon. I know you all will cuss at me and say I don't know anything, but the point is.........FEDOR didn't sign.

Wow Lethal good to have you back.

Dana made huge offers to fedor and the offers kept rising. He went all the way to offer him around 5 million.

At first i was pissed and wanted to blame Dana for this, but I've come to a conclusion that its nobodys fault. It takes 2 to tango and both were having issues with eachother, fedor didn't want to give up Sambo and Dana wasn't go to let him compete. So all in all there both to blame for not coming to agreements.

And why do you say Fedor's injury prone?
