Why do some people hate Diego Sanchez?

Whenever Diego Sanchez is mentioned, people either hate him or love him. I don't know what Diego did to have so much hate, any of ya'll know? Are they jealous that he is engaged to Ali, lol?

I'm pretty confused aswell.

He was real classy in he post fight interview with Fitch and he's one of the more exciting fighters in the UFC. I personally like watching the guy fight, I have no preference to loving/hating the guy. I just enjoy that guys fights.

I dont hate him, infact after his last 2 fights he shown a lot of class and i give him more respect day by day. Its just IMO he would talk down to alot of fighters because of his perfect record and make tons of claims to why he was the best which i never thought he was. Hates a big word i the only fighters I HATE are Tim Sylvia and Matt Hughes.

Ok fine I'll step up.

I can't stand Diego at all. It has nothing to do with his fighting ability because I think he's a great fighter. I just think he's a freaking nerd. The yoga displays he puts on before the fights, the puckered up "I'm Diego, I'm mad and scary" face he makes in his staredowns, the way he talks like he's a 16th century samurai warrior or some crap it just annoys me. And I know thats a shallow way to look at a person but I can't help it. The guy makes me want to smash him in the face with a potted plant.

I'll say I hate Diego. I LOVE to watch him lose. He's so cocky about his talent. He makes a little improvement in an area and he thinks he's a striker, or a boxer. I dunno. I hate him for a lot of the same reasons Way26 said. But I hate the guy

Allow me to jump on the I hate Diego bandwagon with a TUF observation. During TUF season 1 Diego refered to one of the fighters as having a "potty mouth". One episode later Diego himself used the word "shit". Make up your mind Diego will ya. Honestly though a better way to describe how I feel about Diego would be dislike. The guy is a good fighter. The only flaw I show in his game is that he seems to be strictly ground and pound. He needs to incorporate more into his game otherwise he is going to go the way of the dinosaur like so many mma fighters who refuse to expand their arsenal.

I like watching Diegos fights, they are usually very exciting. However he is a wierd guy and that is probably why most people hate him. Plus that picture of him drunk with his shirt off holding onto his other guy friend who is also shirtless kind of ruined the guys reputation, lol.

Way26 got most all of the stuff he does that makes him wierd, but to me it seems that maybe the doctors dropped him on his head a few times at birth.

i don't hate and i don't like him, i just feel he is way to full of himself and the guy is fucking strange. but i will still watch his fights, but a lot of the time i will be betting against him. but if i ever met him and he wanted to smoke a doob with me, i'd be in on that !!!

the guy's a terrific fighter, but so damn concieted it's sickening. It's possible to be good and still not have a fat head. I'll say this much, his fights aren't boring. But, I would absolutely love to see somebody pound on him. There's a thought...who would be the ultimate match up for Sanchez? I'd like to see GSP work his ass, if they could both make weight.
