Chael Sonnen is an idiot.

Now hear me out. I was watching Bodog fights last nite(I know, I know but there were no other mma shows on at the time). And during an interview Chael Sonnen stated that he dosen't do alot of submission work because that involves lying on his back and wrapping his legs around another man and as he is a republican he doesn't do that sort of stuff. Now I'm not directly quoting him there but that is basically what was said(anybody who saw the episode can back me up on this). Now maybe he was kidding but somehow I don't think he was. So that being the case Chael is a real jackass. Two reasons for this. 1. Political stances and fighting have nothing to do with each other. And furthermore if you chose to handicap your fight game because of your political views that just proves you are a moron. 2. The majority of the people who participate in mma train in some form of Jiu-Jitsu at some point. So why whould Chael alienate fellow fighters like that? Or alienate the fans for that matter? I mean anyone who has practiced any kind of grappling martial art has had to put up with homoerotic comments at some point. We've all heard this crap before but when it comes from an mma fighter who seems serious when he says it it just sounds moronic. Maybe I'm off base here or maybe not but I hope Chael Sonnen never makes it big in the UFC. When the sport we love is still having a hard time winning hearts and minds the last thing it needs is another idiot out to alienate the fans.

You see Lethal, this is the right way to go about calling someone stupid. He backs up why he thinks Sonnen is an idiot with a number of legit reasons.

I havent seen the episode but that does seem kind of stupid and childish on his behalf. "i'm not gonna practice jui jitsu because it's kind of gay", lol. That seems pretty ridiculous to me.

Guys holding hands is gay, 2 men kissing is gay, practicing Jui Jitsu is deffinetly not gay.
