Default Sokoudjou's Next Opponent?

I would like to see him in an immediate rematch with Rogerio. That way we can see if he is truly for real or if it was, as many are calling it, a fluke.

When Rogerio went in last time he was prepared for a Judoka that trains at Team Quest, most likely expecting him to try and take it to the ground and he got caught. I can almost guarantee the second time around will be very different.

How about everyone else?

Rogerio deffinitly gets a rematch but i don't think it will be immediate. I would like to see him fight Shogun. Unless they give Shogun the title fight, in that case then i would say the rematch with Rogerio is a must.

Judging by the way PrideFC makes their matches i say he fights shogun next.

Hopefully he isn't given a top tier fighter.

Yes he beat a world class fighter but that by no means makes him world class. I suggest they give him some matches to hype him up.

But Pride's matchmaking is awful so I think he'll probably get Lil Nog next.

I just thought of a good choice that they could have fight him next, Vitor. He want's another shot at Henderson and seems like he wouldn't mind fighting Wanderlei again also, so why not bring him back to be Sokoudjou's next opponent?

i dont know if it can be called a fluke or not. it was such a quick knock out although he did look very light on his feet and an agile striker. i dont think arona deserves to be #3 LHW maybe this fight could determine another fate for prides MW division. i woulda also liked to see belfort come back. i think its gona be a few more months before he fights in pride again but hopefully his up coming cagerage fight goes well he can work his way back up. hes still younger than chuck, and he shows potential by wanting another shot at hendo and not being worried about maybe facing wandy again.

I agree with you sir. I personally don't believe in flukes or lucky wins in this sport. I was only saying what a lot of people are calling it. Like Bas Rutten once said, "if someone wants to hit you, throws a punch and it connects, that is not a lucky punch."

Well, it looks as if he will most likely be fighting Arona at Pride 34. I hope Arona doesn't try something crazy like trying to stand with him because if he can KO Lil Nog then it is pretty much guaranteed that he has the power to drop Arona.

I am taking Arona by submission or decision.

I have a really awkward feeling that Sokoudjou is going to pull the upset again, I hear that he is supposed to be pretty darn good on the ground and he's a great Judo guy. Also we've seen how explosive he is in the fight with Lil' Nog.

If I was a betting man I'd choose Arona, but I just have a feeling Sokou' will pull it off.

I have a feeling Sokodjue will beat Arona as well. Didnt get to see much of him but his striking is better than Aronas im sure, and as for the ground game i have no idea. However i do know that he is excellent at Judo and trains with team quest who are on top of their game right now.

Id say the fight goes to decision though.

i would like to see a rematch eventually, but first i think wanderli would be a good opponent. if he gets past silva then everyone would know he is the real deal and it wasn't a fluke.
