Rutten and Quadros

Last night i was watching one of my earlier Pride DVD's, pride 15, and Bas Rutten and Stepen Quadros do such a better jjob at announcing. I have never been a fan of Joe Rogan and Mike GOldberg is clueless. The UFC should get Bas to come and do the commentating for them. I don't know if its the way he talks or what but there was a few times where he'd say something and i started laughing.

My ideal commentating team would be Bas Rutten and the guy who does K-1, i for get his name, the english sensai. Not sure how that would go over in the USA though.

Will Vanders, he's clueless but brilliant in his own way, he does get a lot of stick from english MMA fans but they really aren't aware what he has done for the sport in the U.K. He does come out with some funny lines though.

I like Mauro Ranallo and Bas, I think Bas adds the comedy and the technichal side, but Mauro Ranallo has the perfect announcers voice, why PRIDE let him go and keep Trigg is beyond me.

Will Vanders, i knew that too. We dont get very much k-1 where i live but i have watched the fights online and he deffinetly does come up with some pretty funny lines. I heard a clip of him announcing and he said and i quote

"He flys through the air with the greatest of ease,
He attacks with his fists,he attacks with his knees"

I forget who was fighting but what a strange thing to say. I nearly pissed myself when i heard that. You are right about bas and ranallo though. They should never have let them go.

Haha, when Europsort first started covering MMA he called G'N'P. "Pound and Ground" that really made me laugh, but when it comes to K-1 Kickboxing, he is pretty knowledgable.

Whenever Mark Hunt fights he says "I love this man like a son" although I'd be shocked if they have ever met each other.

Prides new announcer seems like he's so uneducated in MMA that at times it seems Trigg is teaching him and not commentating on the fights. Bas and Quadros really made it seem like we were watching an MMA fight not a damn billiards match.
