Default silva vs. arona rumor official?

According to MMANEWS Arrona will again attempt to gain the MW belt on New Years Eve from Silva. I watched both prior fights and if Arrona can get him to the ground in a mount position he will end it. However on the feet Silva is obviously superior. The last fight Arrona was preoccupied w/ exposing Silvas lack of BJJ(questionably earned Blackbelt) and was much to passive. This will be an exciting fight as per all Silvas fights. The Pride's NYE as usual is looking to be one of the best cards of the year.

I'd rather have Rogerio and Silva fight. IMO Arona's a snoozefest.

I'll agree. He has the potential to be incredible though.

I agree with both of you Arona is one of the most talented grapplers in the light heavyweight division if not the world. I just don't like how Arona keeps fights on the ground for so long and once he gets up ( has probably one of the ugliest fighting stances I've ever seen) stuffs a takedown and gets on top he tends to just stay there.

I would like to see Silva fight lil Nog before he fights Arona. It would be a better fight in my opinion.

Imagine Tito vs. Arona. They have basically the exact same gameplan as one another. %100 that fight would go to a decision.

I think its definently time that Arona finally got his rematch, its well deserved and i think if it goes to the ground this time we may see a new champion

agreed. Aronas fighting stance isnt to great, he leaves his head to high.. im suprised silva didnt hit him on the button. But Arona has all the tools to beat silva if he did a little more work on the ground. He tends to just sit there and waste time. In the last fight both fighters were given yellow cards for time wasteing.. and arona was suprised that he lost?! if he worked more he could most definatly win the fight on the ground.

I think that Rogerio should fight the winner.

Like MATT E said, Arona has earned this third match with Silva. He beat Wanderlei the first time and the second fight was close and alot of people fealt he won that one also. He may not be the most exciting fighter, but there is no question that he deserves another shot.
