Lehtal every fight you named both displays two fighters with styles that calash, going into later minutes with styles that calash will always making a boring fight with 2 minute rounds to 10 min to hundred it doesn't matter your not going to get the same results.

There are alot of times in the UFC where the first round just starts getting good right at the end. The 10 minute first round makes it so that never happens.

Also what i like about Pride is how its scored and judged. I hate the 10 point must system, it really isn't cool at all. It should be judged by the entire fight not by round.

For example there have been alot of fights in the UFC where nothing happens in the first round but either way one fighter has to get 10 and the other has to get 9. I find it makes for better decisions when the judges judge the fight in its entirety.

Then blame the matchmakers.

As for lying around it just doesnt hapen very often in Pride. Fighters are always busy on the ground and if they just lay their like they do in the UFC then they get yellow cards which deduct a percentage of the fighters pay.

There is absolutely nothing about the UFC that was better than PrideFC. PrideFC was classy, like a martial arts show. the UFC is a room full of drunks watching cage fighting.

The UFC knew that PrideFC was such a better product that if they didnt buy them out and basically cancel them, then they would lose all hteir fans to PrideFC.

Well not lose them, but i know when i first started watching MMA years ago i watched nothing but UFC. Then i heard about PrideFC, i thought it was so gay at first. I didnt like the ring and thought the fighters were crap. THen i gave it a chanceamd i watch a few events and i started to love it. THe 10 minute first round, kicks and knees to downed opponents, better ring entrances more pyrotechnics, more knowledgable fans, much better fighters and all around jsut a better show in all areas.

I cant imagine that Pride will ever be hte same if it does come back. I don't think its possible for Zuffa to put on a show the same calibre as Dreamstage was able to do with Pride.
Well put, this is why most of the best fighters stayed so long, well rounded action. Every fight was action filled, and always good.

As for losing shine. Agreed. To say what happened to PFC? C'mon, this is common knowledge, UFC bought em'! !0 minute rounds are left to those who train and respect what it takes to run full 10 minute rounds, and the fact that there is still life in the org.

Bah to UFC. Watch them drain all the life out of everything but North American draws...

I own that dvd and to this day it was one of the best cards and there were also some great fights on it...

Just listen to yourself you criticize what you have no knowledge of, unethusiastic crowd?, those fans are some of the most educated fans to watch the sport, if you noticed in all pride events, if one fighter is in guard and passes the fans start to cheer, while uneducted ufc fans(like yourself), have no idea whats going on, and they start to hollar and go wild if a punch connects. Japanese fans are respectful to the sport and its fighters, not like drunk ufc fans who boo and yell at nothing.

japanese fans are that way in every sport especially fighting sports and i like that they dont aimlessly shout!

thye chear in wrestling when a good move is pulled off and wont make a noise when nothing is going on and they do the same when watching MMA because they know what is good and what is hard to pull of and respect the athletes
