i worry about all these fighters coming in to the UFC alot of them have had one fight and walked into title contention like Rampage and then it puts the likes of Rashad Evans down the pecking order when they have been trying there ass off. I like Shogun but i think if he does come into the UFC he should atleast have 4 or 5 fights before he gets a title shot

I agree. except I think 2 wins should earn Shogun a title shot..

I see what your saying hitman, fighters getting immediate title shots, but lets face it i think we all know what would happen if evans fought chuck, great fighter but IMO he would just get out classed from the start to finish.

If shogun were to come into the ufc he would walk right over all contenders except for chuck and maybe rampage considering he already dominated him, the divisions to week to give him 4 or 5 fights, i hate how the ufc markets fighters. Hes one of the best in the world so screw the fans who are uneducated on mma, they will soon know who he is after he steps into the ring.

i love Shogun mate am not saying he is rubbish he is one of my fave LHW. But you have to be fair to all youre other fighters. How long did it take Tito Ortiz to get a rematch against Chuck????? I think Evans is a sleeper just look at Gonzaga vs Cro Cop but i say what you mean about Chuck and Rashad fighting, Shogun would dominate the UFC LHW division. Rampage said himself he was surprised by it as he thought he would have 2 or 3 more fights to get back to his best. Like Dan Henderson for instance been away for years from the UFC, give him his credit, he is a great fighter and the WW, MW Pride champion but to walk into a title match is shocking. All am trying to say is UFC should be more fair to there fighters

I totally disagree with you. Basically what this is is a unification fight to see which champion is the best. I have wanted this to happen for years and im sure im not the only one. The truth is if Dan Henderson were to fight anyone in the UFC it would have to be the champion seeing how he is the Champion of PrideFC. To me it wouldnt make sense if Dan Hendersons first fight in the UFC LHW division was against Forest Griffin.

As for Shogun, i think his next fight shouldbe for the PrideFC championship, but that is unlikely since Hendo is fighting Rampage next. Shogun has gotten overlooked so manytime being teammates with Wanderlei and i think he deserves a title shot more than anyone else at LHW.

I agree robert, if the fighters have the credability and most importantly the talent which all fighters who got immediate shots silva, rampage, and no henderson and if they dont i would like you to prove me wrong and tell me who is better fit for this matchup. Rashad isnt getting his big fight finally and against tito and if he wins im sure he will be thrown into the big picture without a doubt.

You said tito got a quick title shot and did gonzaga but at the times all these fighters were the best fits because of the lack of depth in there respected divisions. If rampage didnt fight chuck who would of? Evans after coming off a win over WHO sean salmon?

Shogun does deserve his shot but he will just have to wait and it wont be to long before he claims a title IMO, if anything he deserves an immediate title shot against any champion because he has the resume beating 1, 2 ,3,4 top lhw in the wolrd, wherever he fights he needs a title shot.

I think Henderson would give Shogun a good fight and could possibly knock him out or submit him. Shogun does deserve a title shot in Pride but not in UFC after 1 or 2 fights in the UFC. But you tell me how did Rampage deserve a immediate shot against Chuck Liddell after one fight against a shit fighter in Marvin Eastman, i will tell you why because Chuck Liddell wanted this fight to get revenge. IF rampage wouldnt of come into the UFC then what???? who would Chuck face then???? EVANS thats a fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. PrideFC has been bought by the ferttita brothers as you all know but Wanderlei Silva would have walked into a title shot against Chuck for the UFC because Chuck wanted it and thats why its wrong because these fighters are walking in with good credentials like Rampage, Shogun (possibly) Anderson Silva and are getting handed immediate title shots. If i was a UFC fighter working my way up and then a pride fighter jumped the queue i would be pissed.

When you're #1 contender is Tito Ortiz, Jardine possibly before he was beaten, then I think you know why Rampage gets a title shot.

The UFC hasn't had much depth in every division up untill the last few months where they have gone on a signing spree, therefore you get guys coming in and taking #1 contender shots. If I'm the Pride champion and I have to "Earn" my way to the top of the UFC ladder, then what's the point in fighting their? You want to unify your title, not fight Griffin, Jardine etc to work your way to a shot.
