In an absolutely stunning result, the Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer Badr Hari was disqualified at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2008 Final at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan, giving the championship to Remy Bonjasky. The disqualification came in the second round, after Hari illegally took Bonjasky to the ground. That alone was a foul, but when the referee tried to step in, Hari inexplicably punched Bonjasky and stomped on his head. It was a dirty, despicable move that resulted in a disqualification.
