Default Favorite martial art?

Mine is aikido, i love the types of throws they use in it. Seems like a lot of using your opponent's own force against them, and also utilizing various angles.

Check this vid out.

Okay, thread moved.

I love seeing all aspects being used in MMA so that would be my favourite, but i'm a big fan of both BJJ and Muay Thai.

i love my boxing, always have. but since being introduced to bjj i realise how effective and enjoyable the sport is,
id say hands down bjj would dominate anyother sport, thats just my opinion.
theres alot more thinking than any other martial art ive done and i find it to be best selfdefence on the street as most fights go to the ground

Ok Im just gonna say somthing here BJ dont take it personal... How many street fights have you been in? I have been in alot and not 1 has ever gone to the ground in a wrestling or JJ match. In fact in almost all street fights I have been in or watched as soon as one guy goes down the fight stops until that guy gets back up again and says he wants to continue. Most times there is a crowd there that will prevent any kind of ground and pound as that is ruled unfair. Street fights are boxing/brawling not ground fighting.

To be on topic... I love Muay Thai and Capoeria (sp)

Again, Muay Thai is the most devistating stand up martial arts in my oppinion. The whole idea of ko'ing or crushing your opponent, rather than throw them, or hold them down makes it so dangerous. I don't want to take any one trained in martial arts lightly. But I really feel that if your a strickly trained taekwondo or BJJ, Judo or even wrestler, all fights start on the feet. That being said if your a novice Muay Thai fighter and you fight a BJJ phenom, then your going to get a limb broken and lose. and vice versa.

On the street tho like for pure self defence, boxing or Muay Thai. Akido isn't bad either.

personlay i have only been in about 10 fights since in the last few years, its not enough for me to say whats better. but i have seen alot of street fights and its totaly anything goes. untill one person is out cold no one will step in. nearly all fight go to ground (that ive witnessed)..... sori it doesnt matter.
what i was trying to bget across was that ive some one trained to grapple take a street fighter to the ground it wouldnt last very long, i like bjj because it gives u a massive advantage, how many ppl can puch and kick?
i would put bjj up against another martial art, never mind jst a street fighter.
ps drunken brawls always go to the ground.
