Default Official Introductions Thread

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am the head trainer at flawless training, which is traditionally a fitness based site. But recently with some new research I developed a program I called GTP that has been having awesome results in bodybuilders. This combined with the great surge and my personal interest in MMA has put me in a new venture. I am currently working on using these new principles geared towards improving MMA fighters.

I used to box and wrestle and played college football. My Martial Arts experience was limited to some "tae kwan do" but I am looking to broaden my horizon and begin training in more MMA. So I am here to learn and contribute. I also have an extensive background in supplement research and development if you have any ?'s I'd be more than happy to answer them.

Welcome 'TheGame46'. i feel my knowledge of most common (and some uncommon) Martial Arts is pretty decent so if you have any ?'s then feel free to ask. I'm sure if i can't answer the ? someone in the forum will.

So are you going to be training to fight or just train?

Right now I am trying to develop a new form of strength and conidtioning training to give fighters an edge using some very new research that I applied to bodybuilding with great success. I myself would like to begin some MMA training myself for recreation and maybe compete sometime in the future.

Welcome aboard sir. I hope you enjoy your experience here. It sounds like you will have some good information to provide and i hope you will learn some new things from the other members as well. There are not alot of members posting yet but that will change with time.

Have a great day.

I went ahead and made this the official introduction thread so here I go...

I started watching MMA because of the Sega Dreamcast game. I know that is a hell of a way to get into Mixed Martial Arts. LOL, I played it with some friends and the next thing you know I was buying tapes and dvd's like a madman. I have been hooked ever since and try to get all the info I can.

I have been a big Gung Fu movie fan since before I can remember and used to watch the hell out of WWF and pro boxing but once I found MMA that all changed. I still love Gung Fu movie's but the days of loving WWF and Boxing are long gone now.

I have no formal training background unless you count a few months of karate when I was 5. I workout at least every other day as hard as I can untill I can't go any more and I do some grappling and sparring when I can with some friends that get together on the weekends.

Well that about sums it up.

here's my version.

I've basically been into Martial Arts (all types) since i was about 12 (i'm 27 now), although i did go to Karate when i was 8 but didn't stick it.

i've also kickboxed.

The Art i stuck to the most is Lau Gar Kung Fu but still trying out other arts aswell. i tried bjj about 3 years ago and got hooked this progressed to joining a Vale Tudo club 2 years ago. i'm still waiting to be signed up for my first fight, the longer i wait the better i get.

i took iyengar yoga up about 1 year ago (if you haven't already, try it)

aswell as training i love the philosiphy behind the practical work. hence me trying out as many arts as possible.

Any questions just asked, or i'll be here all week.

If you want it, make it happen. There is nothing between you and your goal but time and hard work.
