Default Training with a cold

I went down the gym to train this morning (feeling under the weather, sore throat, runny nose, achy muscles, you know the usual cold symptons) and lasted 30 minutes before throwing the towel in, i felt alot worse.

Does anyone know whether your meant to rest when sporting a cold? i was on my third set of bench presses and struggling big time, God help me, i have BJJ later.

Should i stop being a big baby and battle through it or rest until the cold has gone?

This is just my personal opinion but for me it depends on how sick I am. If it's just a runny nose or sore throat I am fine with lifting and running.

If I am sick to the point of feeling week and have chills or something like that then I would relax for a couple days untill I was better. No point in trying to prove something at the expense of your health.

Some light grappling should be fine but I wouldn't want to go hard if I felt like I was already spent before I even started.

Keep in mind that even some of the baddest fighter's on the planet will stay away from their usual hard training when they are really sick.
