Dropping out of school to pursue your web career

Have you guys ever met a high school drop out - that is a webmaster now and is making a lot of money online? If so, what is your take on this issue? Should webmasters in high school drop out and try to earn more out of their websites?

The owner of whateverlife.com is a prime example of this - she's 17 and a high school drop out. She's doing it big, but if her website crashes one day? She doesn't have any education backing her up then..

I'm guessing your from the states?.....I'm a US/Irish citizen and have lived between both countries. I left school at 16 and got a trades, which is perfectly acceptable in Ireland, but any time I've been staying in the states and the conversation about education, age I left school, and not going to college the attitude towards you changes very quick. I'm still young at 23, I enjoy my job, but I still would have liked to have got more education, and it was a bastard seeing my friends taking it easy in school and college whilst being at work.
