Default Why has this not happened??

I was thinking the other day and the thing that popped into my head when i was thinking MMA was why is their not a majour promotion in Brazil???

Japan had or has Pride (not sure anymore)
USA has a bunch the main being the UFC
UK has Cage Rage and others but brazil which has produced many of the greates MMA fighters has no majour MMA orginisation!

i would have thought that a rich businessman would start one in Brazil which could rival eveyone else. As far as i know UFC has been there only once and so my question would be is the sport not popular there?? but if it isnt why? they have given us pretty much all the greats!

think of a roster that has the brazilian talents seen in mma

Belfort,Wanderlei, both Rua's, Both Nogiera's, the gracies, Cyborg and there are many others who could be in this list.

does anyone here know of a MMA company in Brazil right now??

They just started up an IFL sort of league, guys like Nogueira, Bustamante, Pedro Rizzo and Wand are coaches, it's called the Mo Team League.

There are a few floating about down in Brazil. Not sure whether the IVC is still going but that was some hardcore stuff, theres Predator FC aswell which I just read about on the internet.

A UFC ppv in Rio would be a good idea.
