You don't need a good bag. GO somewhere like Playit Again Sports and pick up a used one. Nothing will replace rolling with a partner. Get at least a 80lbs bag.

does anyone have some good home training routines for someone who is training by themselves. the closest mma gym is an hour drive for me. and when i get done work i don't feel like driving an hour there, training for an hour or two, then driving an hour home. i'll never make it to work the next day. so i would like to get a routine i can do at home, and still get the results i would get from a gym.

Get the bas rutten cd workouts, theyre amazing. Thai boxing cd's, boxing cd's and all round workout cd's. U can train on the bag or shadow boxing. (in the all round training, defend means sprawl, or atleast thats what we do). Also go jogging, buy a medicine ball and do push ups on it. Do pull ups down ur local gym aswell. The key to gaining true strength is the ability to lift ur own weight. Look at fedor, he doesnt hack the weights down the gym, his strength lies in the ability to throw his own weight around with intense pull up and press up sesions. Also practise shooting a hanging bag and lifting, make sure the bag is properly attatched to the frame, cos u dont want it to come off. There are plenty training methods u can do at home. But i honestly suggest u pick up the bas rutten cd's if u dont have them.
