Anderson Silva Via TKO Round 2: He's just better thann Marquardt everywhere, on the ground and on the feet. The only way Nate wins this is if he lays and prays for a decision
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Via Sub Round 1: I was going to call this one a decision, but Herring's fight with O Brien just makes me think Big Nog will sub him fairly easily.
Rashad Evans Via Decision: More power in his stand up and a better wrestler, Tito has some decent boxing, but he lacks any sort of power, and I think he'll struggle to get Rashad down. I think it will be a split decision.
Sean Sherk Via Decision: Think Sherk will just over power Hermes, hopefully Hermes can pull the upset, that guy is one of my favourite fighters.
I think the UFC hope that Nog's fight with Herring is as entertaining as the last fights that they both had. If that's the case, what better way to introduce Nogueira.
Well, Armbarring someone like McCully, or fighting Vera who the fans know of. But oh well, Heath will have to do .
Nates style matches up very well against Silva in my opinion. I see Nate Taking the fight to the ground and winning by decision.
Big Nog should have a fairly easy time with Herring, however he has never fought in the UFC before. Still i see this fight going to the floor at some time and Nogeiura getting the win via submission.
Rashad's wrestling is better than Tito's aswell as his stand up. The only thing is though is that Rashad has fought no top fighters. I would hardly call Tito a contender but this will be Rashads toughest fight to date and i see him beating Tito. Not sure how he will win but i have a feeling he will.
As for Franca vs. Sherk im taking Franca. Everyone knows Sherk is ging to be going for the takedown and i think he will either get caught with a shot on his way in or in a submission on the ground. Franca beat Fisher who is arguabley the #1 contender in the LW division and Sherk has been off since his fight with FLorian.
SHould be a good PPV, but i would hardly call this card Stacked.
I have noticed very little avatar betting for this event so far. The TItan and i have set up a rematch for our last avatar bet in which i won. You may have noticed the Titans new avatar .
I am taking Hermes Franca and the Titan gets Sherk. If i win i get to pick his avatar for 2 weeks and if he wins he gets to pick mine for 1 week.
I hope this prompts some others to make bets aswell.
The seer of seers, prognosticator of prognosticators, Randy Couture's picks:
Quote:
A regular segment on The Fight Network’s original TV series’ “Before The Bell” and “After The Bell,” Randy Couture has his “Natural Picks” for tonight’s UFC 73 “Stacked” – live from the Arco Arena in Sacramento, Calif. - locked in. Here’s what the expert analyst is predicting:
UFC Middleweight Championship
Anderson Silva vs. Nate Marquardt – Silva
UFC Lightweight Championship
Sean Sherk vs. Hermes Franca – Sherk
Tito Ortiz vs. Rashad Evans – Evans
Heath Herring vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira – Nogueira
Kenny Florian vs. Alvin Robinson - Florian
I'm on board with all that excpet I'm leaning more toward Marquardt. We shall see.
rashad showed he can hange pretty good. sherk showed he is force to deal with, and silva is well silva.
i problem i had with this was the ref should never told silva and nate to stand back up both were working the ground. that could have been a bigg decision maker in that fight. but i'm pleased my bets came out good. how does a draw pay out

ok so because Ortiz vs. Rashad was a draw what is going to happen is any money you put on either fighter will be returned to you. I will let Tyler know and you everyone will get back their money.
I can't believe Marquardt was given such a big chance by a lot of people coming into this fight. I thought he had no tools to hurt Anderson, and he didn't, lay and pray was his only hope.
I think I have a man crush on Anderson right now, not only is he a phenomenal fighter but he is much like Fedor so humble. In my eyes he and Kenny Florian made what was a mediocre card acceptable. Nog's fight was very good aswell, I nearly crapped my pants when Herring dropped him, I think any other ref would have stopped that fight. God bless Yves Lavigne.
