Default What's your work out?

I'm just curious to see what everyone's conditioning and cardio work out is. Personally, I'm a bit of a slacker. I don't condition and do cardio as much as I should.

I still do it 7 times a week, but its very minimal. I rather spend time in the gym fighting and training. I confess, I've been bulking up a little more and spending time doing that. Currently, I'm doing about 30 push ups a day, 100 curl ups, and a mile every other day.

But that's just to keep me in shape. What's everyone else's work out?

Starting off:

5 minutes fast skipping
20 push ups
50 crunches
20 squats

half a mile jog

5 minutes on the bag, 5 minutes skipping

5 minutes stretching.

Whenever my brother is around I throw in some medicine ball crunches and stomach conditioning. Nowhere near as much as I should be.

I run three miles three times a week. I do some light lifting for strength training on the days I run. And I attent class twice a week. I normally go over some forms after a run just to cool down.

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are all upper body and conditiong. Includes curls, bench pressing, push ups, etc. and training.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are leg conditioning and lifting. Lower body is key to me, but I don't want to over work it.

Training is done after all my sessions. I'll do different excercises on different days. For instance, bench presses on Mondays, curls on Wed. Leg presses on Tuesdays, calf raises on thursdays, etc.

Since the start of the "Russian Speed Training" thread I've incorporated 10 minutes each day on a starting weight of 1.5kg per hand. So far I'm enjoying it more than I did before, as I'm seeing and feeling a daily improvement.

Sounds like everyone has good workout plans. Do any of you take a week off? I normally train for five weeks on. Then one week off. The rest really helps me to come back strong.

I take a week off every month to catch up my studies and spend time with friends and family. It takes me a day or two back into the regime to get into full swing afterwards.

What i don't suggest is that you go very heavy into the weight room. Many people misinterpret that as getting into shape.
Remember, Cardio is not Short Sprints, Cardio is long distance. I suggest running 1-2 miles daily. But if your training for martial arts, you will need the quick bursts of energy. 40 yard dashes and Jump Roping should give you that extra burst.

I normally do 1 week weights, 1 week cardio and the weekends off.
On weights weeks I work lower Body Monday and Wednesday, Upper body Tuesday and Thursday and 1 big workout on a Friday. For my cardio weeks I do a minumum of 30 mins solid cardio EVERY day without fail. Ive found doing this works best for me

I'm mostly a cardio guy and it works well for me, but i am trying to bulk up so i will most likely find a happy medium.
