Default Treadmill?

Does anyone own a treadmill? Do you guys prefer it over actually running? Personally, I like my treadmill because it allows me to run miles in the comfort of my own home. On top of that, I can watch my favorite show and be distracted by it instead of having to see the same route that I run each and every day.

I do crave the outside weather every now and then though, and I try to get outside at least once a week to run my full three miles.

I love my treadmill.

Allows you to be lazy and exercise at the same time. I'm notorious for my ability to watch TV while I run.

Treadmills are OK - but I do prefer the real thing. The only time I run on the treadmill is when it's cold or wet outside...or when it's blistering hot. Other then that, average days are a great call for running outside.

I prefer running on the treadmill because I am a very meticulous person and I like to see exactly how much i've run and how many calories i've burned. I usually go for a 3 mile, 300 calorie 30 minute minimum. I do not step off unless all three criteria have been met.

I hear you. I live on 15 acres and I still prefer using my exercise bike inside so I can see exactly how far I have biked for how long and how many calories I have burned. I usually alternate between biking inside and running outside every other day.

I don't like treadmills -- I usually work out on ellipticals, because my joints have a hard time with the pressure of running.

I would probably not do the elliptical thingy because I'm a huge guy and I would just look ridiculous on this thing.
