Default Do you know your weights?

I found this list of official maximum weights for each class. Thought it was worth sharing with everyone :

Heavyweight - over 200lb (+91kg)
Cruiserweight - 200lb (91kg)
Light heavyweight - 175lb (79kg)
Super middleweight - 168lb (76.2kg)
Middleweight - 160lb (72.5kg)
Light middleweight (super welter) - 154lb (70kg)
Welterweight - 147lb (66.7kg)
Light welterweight (super light) - 140lb (63.5kg)
Lightweight - 135lb (61.2kg)
Super featherweight (junior light) - 130lb (59kg)
Featherweight - 126lb (57.1kg)
Super bantamweight (junior feather) -122lb (55.3kg)
Bantamweight - 118lb (53.5kg)
Super flyweight (junior bantam) - 115lb (52.1kg)
Flyweight - 112lb (51kg)

Wow, I'll be honest, I had no idea there were THAT many weight divisions either. Is this all in one country? I mean, is it accepted universally in the world of boxing? Or does it vary from country to country?

I've never heard of the "inbetween" classes, like Cruiseweight, Supermiddleweight, super this, super that.

Pretty interesting though.

Hmm I'd be classed as heavyweight, I also had no idea there was so many, I just thought there were the basic ones.

I wish I was more in the cruiserweight, like the absolute maximum for the slight advantage, then again with my size I'd probably do decent in heavyweight as well.

Nice. I'm a light heavy weight. Though I already knew that. There are a lot of weight classes though that I'd never heard of.

Must be an international thing though - not sure if the entire US follows those weight classes.

this is for boxing, not mma. mma has different classes in different organizations. pride only has 4, the ufc has 5, smaller promotions allow the fighters to set their own weight and often doesn't fall in any weight class

That's a huge list of weights. I didn't know all of these existed either. Is this for boxing or for mma or for both? Looks like I'm a super middleweight.
