I dont know if PPV is killing boxing but it is certainly only making it accessible for those who are quite well off. Paying $30 - $100 for one fight that could last 10 seconds means the average member of the public no longer sees the big fights.

Well with the money involved in the sport now you have to expect to pay to watch the big fights. How else would they get money into the game if it wasnt for the big TV companies providing most of it?

Yes, I know that money should be involved, and that it does help the fighters and such, but what I am complaining about are the rates that PPV is charging.

They are charging almost $75.00 a fight to watch on their network. I'm not sure how the money is distibuted, but I'm sure that a majority of it goes towards PPV, and not towards the boxing.

the first problem is that they pay boxers way too much money for what they do. so they have to charge outrageous amounts for ppv. and if you want to go watch a boxing event live, you have to take out a second mortgage on your house, and you still get tickets for the back row, where you can't see shit anyway. to me i think mma is taking over boxing anyway. i would much rather watch a mma event on ppv. not only is it cheaper it is more exciting. boxing doesn't really have a heavy weight division any more.(and the guys they do have are boring to watch). imo boxing really needs to do something to improve.(and they wonder why people get satellites with cheater cards).

Problem is, the majority of events are RIGGED! I'm not some douchebag spouting false info. I know it's a sport with judges, etc... and there is room for error, balh blah blah...BUT after the Dela Hoya vs. Trinidad fight, I lost faith in boxing. Ridiculous decision.

That was the last time I took oxing seriously. Know I watch for fun and have no favorites..
