I will state my opinion on this topic very simply and to the point. You can take whoever you rank as the greatest boxer of all time from any weight class and put him in the ring under full Mixed Martial Arts rules against whoever you rank the greatest MMA guy of all time at the same weight class and the MMA fighter will win.

Now change that to a boxing ring, under boxing rules and the boxer takes it.

It is that simple. In my humble opinion.

Guys like you make no sense at all. Cro Cop, Liddell, Bas Rutten and Muarice Smith all made the transition from kickboxing to MMA and has done really well. So why not Boxers? Butterbean and Marcus Davis has done well for boxers who are not even at the top of Boxing any more (Davis was never at the top to begin with and Butterbean was always seen more as a circus act, but they manage to well in MMA).

MMA is not a sport of it's own like Boxing or Kickboxing, it is Mix Martial Arts which gives fighters of different techniques and styles changes to succeed. It is not a wrestling match or a Jujitsu submission match, it is Mix Martial Arts.

Repeat that 10 times sloooooowly, MIX-MARTIAL-ARTS.
