A lot of people push themselves way to hard when lifting...this can actually be counterproductive. Unlike cardio workouts, lift workouts need to be done in moderation. If you lift too much weight or overwork your muscles too much, small tears can form (especially if you don't allow for enough recovery time). I'm not saying to work less hard, but be careful and know your body's limitations.
