I normally do 1 week weights, 1 week cardio and the weekends off.
On weights weeks I work lower Body Monday and Wednesday, Upper body Tuesday and Thursday and 1 big workout on a Friday. For my cardio weeks I do a minumum of 30 mins solid cardio EVERY day without fail. Ive found doing this works best for me
