I am training in KickBoxing at the moment. I haven't really done any "cardio kickboxing" but if I were you, I would just train in kick boxing in general. Let the work out and training be your cardio for you.

Kick boxing is a very physical sport that'll definitely build your lower body strength. It's helped me out tremendously. I went from being able to only lift 175 on each calf, to about 275 now on each calf alone.

My shines are strong as ever, and my legs are bulked and ready to go. My lower body is very tone and muscular now, and it's because I was motivated to bulk up my lower body because of Kick boxing.

I'd recommend it.
