This is the oldest argument and its completely unwarranted. Boxing and MMA are two different sports that can coexist without fear or resentment of one another. We as fight fans should be able to enjoy them both without having to put them in competition with one another.
Boxing is not a threat to MMA and MMA is not a threat to boxing. They have both helped each other in numorous ways, and both compliment each other. Both sports will continue to be successful, and I'm happy about that because I am a fight fan.
