I agree to an extent. I liked Pride as much as I liked the UFC. They both offered something unique.
I hated the Pride nuthuggers who acted so elite on forums and still constantly bash Dana and the UFC.
To me the UFC has done so much for the sport it's absurd to decry every little perceived failing.
Pride put on the great grand prix's but protected their champs by feeding them non-title worth contenders.
Dreams will be great but the idea of having one top league with all of the best fighters appeals to me more than having a reoccurence of boxing with alphabet soup belts and various champs at a weight class.
I mean if half of the top players in the NBA played in Europe, it would devalue the NBA IMO. Same thing applies to MMA, I'd like to see the best fighters all under one house. Dana had the chance but stubbourness and pride got in the way I believe some on his part, some on the fighters part and it didn't happen.
